Jerusalem Typikon: one evening meal without oil
Because a Vesperal Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts is celebrated on Monday and Wednesday, no food or drink is consumed until its conclusion - that is around 3 or 4 pm at the earliest.
Following the Liturgy, “we eat food without oil and are satisfied with that” (ch. 49).
“On Great Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, it is fitting to fast.” (ibid.)
Note: What is meant by fasting here is completely abstaining from food and drink until evening.
